Today, we’re going to look at one of the most overlooked yet crucial ingredients in the recipe for a compelling family history narrative – prep time. Just as a chef sharpens his knives before cooking, a writer must also hone his thoughts, ideas, and research before setting pen to paper.

Persevere – my old school motto.
I will endeavour to complete the last chapters/scenes of the 1st draft of my father’s story. So that I can move on to the next phase – redrafts.

My word for 2020 is PERSISTENCE.
I have subscribed to SCAPPLE and will put all my ideas onto it, instead of on notebooks and bits of paper. I hope this will bring together all my research visually.
