Hi Marge, there is no one place you can go to find social history. Social history can be found in a number of places. Google is your friend. For instant if your ancestor was a hat maker then you would want to Google hat makers in the 18th century. You need to be specific about what you are looking for and then look to books, the internet, local archives and museums to find the answers.
